Location:Winona, MN

The Trainer conducts training classes in a wide range of subjects based on the organization’s needs, including software application and IPC inspection. Schedules and conducts training, working with Human Resources and management staff to limit impact on business operations.

Essential Functions and Competencies
• Ability to be flexible and to meet the variable training schedule, supporting all shifts at all MN Division locations. (Available for travel up to 10% of the time, including day, overnight and internal travel as required.) • Ability to periodically travel to various MN Division facilities, and travel to meet the Train-the-Trainer requirements. • Ability to work overtime when needed. • Supports a 24/7 global business operation as required. • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals and employees at all levels of the organization. • Have a strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Scheduler), to support the software training requirements. • Proficient with a person computer, photo copier and other standard office equipment. Overhead transparency and computer-driven projectors. White/chalk boards, manufacturing tools, product and component samples, and other equipment and devices to support the training function. • Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills. • Effective interpersonal skills. • Knowledgeable in ISO certifications and other registrations as required. • Has a general understanding of the total business operation to include materials procurement, order entry, forecasting, manufacturing, invoicing, customer returns, inventory levels, and on-time delivery. • Effective multi-task skills and ability to take on additional responsibilities as required. • Effective organization and prioritization skills. • Demonstrates high attention to detail. • Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism when representing the company. • Participates in continuous improvement activity. • Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality.

Qualifications / Education / Experience
• Assists in working with department managers and supervisors to determine the training needs of each department, and schedules training, certification and re-certifications to meet these needs. • Delivers training for new hire orientation, safety and component identification and other courses as appropriate. • Delivers training in technical and non-technical subjects, coordinating with outside suppliers when appropriate. • Assists in the periodic review of BEI policies and procedures to ensure training needs are satisfied. • Maintains training logs, records and other training documents and makes them available to employees, supervisors, managers, and auditors as needed. • Maintains training materials as needed. • Responds to new training requirements from ISO, OSHA and BEI in collaboration with manufacturing and quality management. • Meets and communications with managers, employees, vendors and other BEI trainers. • May serve as a member on, or monitor activities, of various company committees. • Maintain positive and professional relationship with all internal and external team members and customers. • Learns, advocates, and complies with Benchmark Electronics quality management system and procedures. • Maintains a clean, safe work environment; follow all company safety and environment policies and practices.

0-2+ years’ experience in electronics manufacturing is required Preference may be given to candidates with previous training or presenting experience.

Associate’s or related technical degree is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management.
